Succulent salted cod baked in a bag with crispy potatoes

Salted cod…that traditional Portuguese fish that can be done in several different ways. And I like almost all of them, except boiled (if you don’t like boiled cod, let me known in the comments below). Here I show you a simple and practical manner of cooking this fish, resulting in a juicy cod that splits easily and you don’t have that problem of having to clean the grids latter. So it’s already awesome!

For this I use aluminum foil. For my experience I can tell you that this “bag” turns the fish more moist and tasty and has the enormous advantage of not having your house smelling at what you were cooking.

It is very easy! Let’s go! Start by putting one aluminum foil vertically and another horizontally, like if you were doing a cross.

Then, put the cod and season it with olive oil and black pepper in both sides.

Now, you just have to close the “bag”. Join the extremities of each foil and then crease them. Done!

I served with boiled potatoes that were then baked in the oven with olive oil, garlic and black pepper, resulting in a crisp and delicious skin. You can find the recipe below.

Enjoy!
